MY FIRST VISIT AND A GREAT SET UP, OVER A LONG NARROW WHITE BRIDGE STRAIGHT OUTSIDE THE ETHIAD AND JUST A 10 MINUTE WALK FROM ASHBURY'S TRAIN STATION.
2 SPACIOUS AND COMFORTABLE LONG CANTILIEVERED STANDS ON EITHER SIDE, WITH COVERED TERRACING BEHIND BOTH GOALS.
ONLY THE STAND ACROSS FROM THE TUNNEL/DUG OUTS USED TODAY.

A NICE STEADY WALK ROUND THE OUTSIDE OF THE ETHIAD TAKING PHOTO'S THEN BOUGHT A EXCELLENT PHOTOGRAPHIC HISTORY OF MAINE ROAD BOOK FROM THE CITY STORE FOR £15.

WEATHER.....SUN BEATING DOWN ALL AFTERNOON.

STANDARD OF FOOTBALL FROM MAN CITY....FIRST CLASS THROUGHOUT THE TEAM... A CREDIT TO THE WOMENS SUPER LEAGUE AND THE GAME IN GENERAL
A REAL PLEASURE TO WATCH, EASY TO SEE WHY THEY'VE WON 12 OF THEIR LAST 13 GAMES.

ONLY DOWNER WAS THE FOOD...I WAS CHARGED £8 FOR AN HOT DOG AND A DRINK (FRUIT SHOOT) INSIDE THE STADIUM.....AND THAT WAS A MEAL DEAL !!!!!!
WHEREAS I GOT A PACK OF PLOUGHMANS SARNIES, A BAG OF MCCOYS CRISPS AND A BOTTLE OF COKE FOR £3.89 AT MANCHESTER PICCADILLY STATION.

HAD A COUPLE OF DRINKS IN THE VERY LARGE MARY D'S BEAMISH BAR JUST ROUND THE CORNER PRE-MATCH, AND DESPITE THERE ONLY BEING 5 PEOPLE IN AT 12 O'CLOCK, I WAS INFORMED THAT IT'S PACKED TO THE RAFTERS ON MENS MATCH DAYS.

OVERALL DAY OUT.....SUPERB, NICE EASY JOURNEY THERE AND BACK, GORGEOUS WEATHER AND A CRACKING FOOTBALLING DISPLAY FROM CITY.....AND ALTHOUGH A VERY ONE SIDED GAME, IT WAS STILL A JOY TO WATCH AND A GREAT ADVERT FOR WOMEN'S FOOTBALL OF WHICH MY EXPERIENCE IS VERY LIMITED.....ONLY THE 3RD LADIES GAME I'VE SEEN, BUT I WONT NEED MUCH PERSUADING TO RETURN.
